The driver, Wesley Michael Klotz, 37, of Monroeville, Indiana, was arrested for driving under suspension. He was transported to the Van Wert Police Department to post bond and was released to family.

Wednesday, February 25 – an officer was dispatched to Rural King in reference to an unwanted person at the busines. Contact was made with the person and he was warned for trespassing. No charges were filed.

Wednesday, February 25 – a fraud report was taken in the 500 block of E. Main St.

Wednesday, February 25 – arrested Daniel Charles Lee Vibbert on a warrant from the Van Wert County Sheriff’s Office for non-support. The arrest was made in the 200 block of N. Washington St.

Thursday, February 26 – Lassus Handy Dandy requested a person be warned for trespassing. No charges were filed.

Friday, February 27 – a theft report was taken in the 1100 block of W. Main St.

Friday, February 27 – Dakota Nichols, 24, of Van Wert was arrested and charged with domestic violence, a first degree misdemeanor.

Friday, February 27 – arrested Dustin W. Lehmkuhle of Van Wert for obstructing official business and on a warrant from Van Wert Municipal Court after running from officers investigating a trespassing incident.

Friday, February 27 – arrested Charles Cowan of Van Wert on an outstanding warrant from the Ohio Adult Parole Authority while in the 800 block of N. Washington St.

Saturday, February 28 – a two-vehicle injury crash occurred in the 700 block of E. Sycamore St.

3:01 p.m. – Dispatched Willshire and Wren Fire to a location on North 600 East in Adams County, Indiana, to assist with a report of a field fire.

6:13 p.m. – Deputies responded to an area of U.S. 30 in Tully Township for a report of a motor vehicle crash. A 2013 Chrysler 200 driven by Lauren Miller of Auglaize County was traveling westbound on U.S. 30 near the intersection of Mentzer Church Road in Tully Township. A white sedan was approaching the intersection from the south of Mentzer Church Road and U.S. 30. The white sedan turned westbound onto U.S. 30 into the right lane. However, in the right lane, another vehicle was present, so the white sedan attempted to change lanes into the left lane, where it struck Miller’s vehicle. The car sustained disabling damage to the passenger side of the vehicle, but Miller had no injuries. The white sedan left the scene.

7:17 p.m. – Deputies responded to a residence on Burris Road in Liberty Township to check an open line 911 call.

7:26 p.m. – Dispatched Wren and Convoy Fire to an area of East 700 North in Adams County, Indiana, to assist with a report of a fire.

7:54 p.m. – Deputies responded to an area of Ohio 118 in Liberty Township for a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a deer. No injuries were reported.

4:45 p.m. – Deputies responded to a residence on Lincoln Highway in Pleasant Township to check the welfare of a juvenile playing near the roadway.

5:32 p.m. – Deputies responded to an area of Ohio 49 in Willshire Township for a report of debris in the roadway.

5:42 p.m. – Deputies responded to an area of Lare Road in Tully Township for a report of loud explosions. It was discovered that two subjects were shooting Tannerite in a field.

2:26 p.m. – Deputies served a warrant issued by Van Wert Common Pleas Court for identity fraud, a fifth degree felony, and a OVI, a first degree misdemeanor. Anthony M. Brandolini, 36, of Pleasant Township, was transported to the Van Wert County Correctional Facility.

3:14 p.m. – Deputies responded to a residence on Tully Harrison Road in Union Township for a complaint of theft.

3:40 p.m. – Deputies responded to a residence on Ohio Street in the Village of Convoy to assist a motorist locked out of their vehicle.

4:43 p.m. – Deputies responded to an area of Ohio 118 in Liberty Township for a report of a disabled vehicle.

On 2-16-2026 – officers were sent to the 900 block of E. 5th St. to investigate a minor two vehicle crash.

On 2-16-2026 – officers were notified of a suspicious male in the 200 block of W. 5th St. Officers were called about the same male approximately one hour later in the 200 block of N. Main St. Officers found that the male was passing through town and had nowhere to stay. Officers were notified about the male a third time later in the evening at which time he was given a ride to Beaverdam.

On 2-17-2026 – officers spoke with a female who reported receiving threatening text messages from another female.

On 2-17-2026 – officers met with a female who reported that her juvenile daughter may have been sexually abused. The incident is being investigated by the Detective Bureau.

On 2-18-2026 – officers were asked to perform a civil standby for a child custody exchange. There were no issues during the exchange.

On 2-19-2026 – officers spoke with a female who stated that she was scammed out of money by a male over a period of about two years. The female said that she frequently communicated with the male and he would request that she purchase gift cards and read the pin numbers to him.

On 2-19-2026 – officers spoke with a female in the 900 block of Lima Ave., who reported that a female who was previously trespass from the property, had been there. The female had not been officially trespassed by the Delphos Police Department, so the complainant was advised of the procedure to obtain a criminal trespass order.

On 2-20-2026 – officers were dispatched to the 500 block of N. Main St. for a domestic disturbance. Officers arrived and met with a female and several witnesses. The female told officers that her son had made threats to her and other family members. Officers found probable cause to arrest the male, Zachary Hickman, 29, of Delphos, for domestic violence.

On 2-20-2026 – officers responded to an alarm activation at a business in the 200 block of Elida Rd.

On 2-21-2026 – officers spoke with a male in the 700 block of Wayne St. who reported that two juvenile males ring his doorbell and leave. Officers made contact with the juveniles and spoke with them.

On 2-21-2026 – officers were sent to the 700 block of W. Clime St. for a disagreement. Officers arrived and spoke with a female who stated that she had a disagreement with the driver of a vehicle who was blocking the alley. The other driver left prior to officers arrival.

On 2-21-2026 – officers responded to a residence on Skinner St. to speak with a female who was having a mental crisis.

On 2-22-2026 – officers assisted Deputies from the Allen County Sheriff’s Office in attempting to locate a male who had made threats to a female. The male was not located in Delphos, but officers were able to speak to him by phone. The male agreed to contact the Allen County Sheriff’s Office.

6:00 p.m. – Deputies served a warrant issued by Van Wert Common Pleas Court for nonsupport of dependents, a fourth degree felony. Daniel Charles Lee Vibbert, 35, of Van Wert, is being held at the Van Wert County Correctional Facility.

6:21 p.m. – Deputies responded to an area of North Walnut Street in the City of Van Wert for a complaint of loose dogs.

7:11 p.m. – Deputies responded to an area of U.S. 127 in Hoaglin Township for a report of reckless driving.

7:26 p.m. – Deputies served a warrant issued by Van Wert Common Pleas Court for a community control violation. Jeremy James Cole, 35, of Celina, is being held at the Van Wert County Correctional Facility.

10:01 p.m. – Deputies responded to a residence on Mendon Road in Ridge Township for a report of criminal trespassing.

10:26 p.m. – Deputies responded to a location on South Main Street in the Village of Ohio City for a report of a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was located before the deputies arrived.
