Youth motivational speaker coming to VW

The Van Wert City/County DARE Team and Elks Lodge 1197 will be bringing Ray Lozano to Van Wert to speak at Van Wert City Schools. Lozano has educated and entertained thousands of students in hundreds of schools, from Alaska to Florida and internationally.

Lozano has a talent and gift for conveying what often be construed as boring drugs and alcohol prevention information in such a fun and humorous way that audiences come away informed and entertained.

Lozano has worked in many different fields, including as a vice principal for an elementary school, at a ministry institute, and as a drug awareness teacher at a major children’s hospital. In these jobs Lozano has seen first-hand how drugs and alcohol can strip away people’s full potential from what they could have achieved in life.

Lozano is currently founder and a speaker for Prevention Plus, and is training youths and adults nationally and internationally in drug prevention. Lozano also teaches parenting skills to help children stay drug free.

There will be a meet-and-greet open to the public for Lozano at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 7, 2020. Lozano will also present information on vaping. The public events will be held at the Elks lodge. Refreshments will be served.
