Rockford sets fundraiser for cancer victim

ROCKFORD — The Parkway community is coordinating fundraisers for Charyl Luth, who is in a fierce battle against cancer for the second time. Team Luth will receive 100 percent of all proceeds raised.
A chicken dinner will be held Saturday, December 21, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m., at New Horizons Church, 833 S. Main St. in Rockford. Tickets are $10 and include half of a Rockford Carry Out barbecue chicken dinner, chips, applesauce, and water, as well as an entry into the door prize drawings.
A 50/50 raffle, with tickets for $1 each, six for $5, and 18 for $10, will be available, with the winner to be drawn during the Parkway boys’ home basketball game December 21.
The Parkway football parents are hosting a raffle for $20 each with entry to win a Parkway steel bench finely crafted and donated by Jason Kinney and Frank Gates. All tickets are available at Rockford Carry Out and Peoples Bank in Rockford.
