Making God Laugh is the funny, touching story that spans three decades of one typical family. Parents and their grown children all return home where they share their plans and dreams as old family traditions are trotted out and ancient tensions flare. Director Jonathan Hodges has assembled a stellar cast to bring this all-too-familiar family to life. Briana Boggs portrays Ruthie, the mother, with Ed Eichler as Bill, the father.  Kedryn Roether, Stan Lippi, and Hodges play the siblings.

Show dates are December 5-8 and 12-15. All Thursday, Friday, and Saturday performances begin at 8 p.m., with Sunday matinees beginning at 2 p.m. The box office is open now for reservations, and area residents can purchase tickets by calling 419.238.9689 from 2- 6 p.m. Monday-Friday or by going to www.vwct.org. All tickets are $16 and must be paid for at the time of reservation.

Before Making God Laughs closes, VWCT will be holding auditions on Sunday, December 8, and Monday, December 9, for the next show: The Savannah Sipping Society. The director of this play, Mary Ann Falk, needs four women to play characters in the age range of 50 to 70. A fifth woman is needed for a walk-on part. Falk is also looking for a great crew to help with scene and costume changes. This funny play chronicles four women who meet by chance but soon develop a friendship built around taking chances and making life their own.

Show dates are January 23-26 and 30-31, and February 1-2. Rehearsals will begin immediately. Those auditioning should provide rehearsal conflicts at auditions including availability the last two weeks in December. Contact Falk at admin@vwct.org with questions.
