VW golf team competes at Defiance

DEFIANCE — Van Wert finished 14th out of 21 teams at the Defiance Bulldog Boys Golf Invitational held Monday at Eagle Rock Country Club in Defiance.

Napoleon captured the title with a team score of 342.

The Cougars finished with a team score of 392, and were led by junior Zane Fast, who shot a 91. Evan Knittle chipped in with a 98, followed by Cameron Terhark (99), Gavin Flickinger (104), and Jace Fast (116).

Paulding finished sixth (354) and was paced by Fletcher Cook’s 81. Cole Heller shot an 87, followed by Kolson Engor (91), Chad Carper (95), and Hunter Krauser (96).

Led by Eric Thronell (88), Antwerp (362) finished eighth. Austin Litchy shot a 90, followed by Gaige McMichael (91), Jake Eaken (93), and Nathan Lee (115).

Wayne Trace placed 11th with a team score of 366 and was led by Kaden Sutton’s 88, followed by Evan Proxmire (89). Reid Miller shot a 92, while Dane Moore finished with a 97, and Cale Crosby (99).
