Theresa P. Weaver

Theresa P. Weaver, 89, of Convoy, passed away Monday, June 18, 2018, at her residence.

She was born July 25, 1928, in Shamokin, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth (Fetsko) Staniszewski, who both preceded her in death. On April 3, 1948, she married Paul R. Weaver.

She was a parishioner of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Van Wert. She worked as a lifelong homemaker and enjoyed her family, friends, and traveling.

Theresa is survived by her husband of 70 years, Paul R. Weaver of Convoy; two sons, Greg (Rhonda) Weaver of rural Mendon and Tim (Amy) Weaver of Decatur, Indiana; a daughter, Paula (Randy) Oechsle of Ohio City; one brother, Robert Staniszewski of Pennsylvania; nine grandchildren, Amy (Dan) Purdy, Jason Weaver, Leanna Moes, Lauren (Jerrod) Law, Lindsey (Chad) Hamrick, Kylee (Luke) Feasel, Andy (fiancé Kayce) Weaver, Gabbie Weaver, and Adam Weaver; and 15 great-grandchildren.

A son, Gary R. Weaver; three brothers, Stephen, Jerome, and Thomas Staniszewski; and two sisters, Irene Harkless and Dorothy Yodis, also preceded her in death.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 23, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, with Father David Ruppert officiating. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, June 22, at Haggard-Sefton-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home in Decatur, Indiana, with a reciting of the Holy Rosary at 3:30 p.m., as well as an hour prior to services Saturday in St. Mary’s Parish Hall.
