20 people arraigned on GJ indictments

A total of 20 people were arraigned Wednesday in Van Wert County Common Pleas Court on indictments handed down last Friday by the June session of the County Grand Jury.

Robert Arnold III, 34, of Van Wert, entered not guilty pleas to one count each of burglary, a second-degree felony, and trespass in a habitation, a felony of the fourth degree. Bond was set at $10,000 cash or commercial surety and Arnold will appear for a pretrial conference at 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 26.

Cyle Black, 32, of Van Wert, pleaded not guilty to one count each of aggravated possession of drugs and possession of heroin, both felonies of the fifth degree. He was released on a personal surety bond and will appear for a pretrial conference at 2 p.m. June 26.

Adam Blatteau, 37, of Van Wert, entered a not guilty plea to one count of telecommunications harassment, a felony of the fifth degree. He was released on a surety bond, but must have no contact with the alleged victim in the case. He will appear for a pretrial conference at 9 a.m. Friday, July 13.

Ecco Burker, 33, of Van Wert, pleaded not guilty to one count each of receiving stolen property and forgery, each a felony of the fifth degree. She was released on a surety bond and will appear for a pretrial conference at a later date.

Dezmond Bywaters, 26, of Van Wert, entered not guilty pleas to three counts of importuning, a felony of the fifth degree; one count of pandering obscenity involving a minor, a felony of the fifth degree; and nine counts of illegal use of a minor in a nudity oriented performance, a fifth-degree felony. He was released on a surety bond on electronically monitored house arrest and is to not be in possession of any electronics. A pretrial conference is scheduled for 8 a.m. Wednesday, June 20.

Michael Closson, 68, of Delphos, pleaded not guilty to four counts of gross sexual imposition, each a felony of the third degree. He was released in a surety bond, with an order that he is to have no contact with the alleged victim in the case. He will appear for a pretrial conference at 8 a.m. June 20.

Jasmine Diemer, 34, of Van Wert, entered not guilty pleas to two counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs, each a felony of the third degree. She was released on a surety bond and will appear for a pretrial conference at 9 a.m. Monday, June 25.

Cristina Donate-McClure, 29, of Van Wert, pleaded not guilty to one count of aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony offense. She was released on a surety bond and will appear for a pretrial conference at 2 p.m. June 26.

Nathan Dunn, 35, of Van Wert, entered not guilty pleas to one count each of aggravated possession of drugs and possession of heroin, each a felony of the fifth degree. He was released on a surety bond and will appear for a pretrial conference at 9 a.m. July 13.

Rex Keysor, 48, of Van Wert, pleaded not guilty to one count each of aggravated possession of drugs and possession of cocaine, each a felony of the fifth degree. He was released on a surety bond and will appear for a pretrial conference at 9 a.m. July 13.

Bryan Lynch, 26, of Paulding, entered a not guilty plea to one count of aggravated possession of drugs, a felony of the fifth degree. He was released on a surety bond and will appear for a pretrial conference at 10 a.m. June 26.

Josh McGinnis, 36, of Convoy, pleaded not guilty to one count of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, a felony of the second degree, and two counts of failure to register his address, each a third-degree felony offense. Bond was set at $10,000 cash/commercial surety and he will appear for a pretrial conference at 8 a.m. June 20.

Donald O’Day, 41, of Van Wert, entered not guilty pleas to one count each of possession of cocaine and aggravated possession of drugs, each a felony of the fifth degree. He was released on a surety bond and will appear for a pretrial conference at 8 a.m. Wednesday, July 11.

Keli Pontius, 31, of Van Wert, pleaded not guilty to one count of aggravated possession of drugs, a felony of the fifth degree, and two counts of endangering children, each a misdemeanor of the first degree. She was released on a surety bond and will appear for a pretrial conference at 9 a.m. June 25.

Krystle Shinnaberry, 31, of Van Wert, entered a not guilty plea to a charge of aggravated possession of drugs, a felony of the fifth degree. She was released on a surety bond and will appear for a pretrial conference at 9 a.m. July 13.

Rhonda Stahl, 44, of Grover Hill, pleaded not guilty to one count of aggravated possession of drugs, a felony of the fifth degree. She was released on a surety bond and will appear for a pretrial conference at 8 a.m. June 20.

Dustin Stuckey, 32, of Middle Point, entered a not guilty plea to one count of possession of cocaine, a felony of the fifth degree. He was released on a surety bond and a pretrial conference set for 8 a.m. June 20.

Richard Temple, 18, of Van Wert, pleaded not guilty to one count of theft, a felony of the fifth degree. He was released on a surety bond and will appear for a pretrial conference at 2 p.m. June 26.

Nathaniel Thomas, 39, of Van Wert, entered a not guilty plea to one count of domestic violence, a felony of the third degree. He was released on a surety bond and will appear for a pretrial conference at 9 a.m. June 25.

On Friday, June 8, Alissa Greiner, 34, of Orland, Indiana, pleaded not guilty to seven counts of deception to obtain dangerous drugs, each a felony of the fifth degree. She was released on a surety bond after completing a waiver of extradition and will appear for a pretrial conference at 10 a.m. June 26.

Other hearings in Common Pleas Court include the following:

Austin Davis, 24, of Van Wert, was given two years of community control on a first-degree misdemeanor charge of domestic violence. He was also sentenced to 180 days in jail, which were all suspended, must perform 52 hours of community service, and undergo mental health and substance abuse assessments and any treatment recommended.

Jurode Jordan, 31, of Dayton, was sentenced to 180 days in jail, with credit for 120 days already served, on a fifth-degree felony forgery charge. Judge Martin D. Burchfield also ordered Jordan to pay restitution of $100 to TJ’s in Willshire.

Justin Murphy, 30, of Van Wert, changed his plea to guilty to two counts of assault and one count of vandalism, each a felony of the fifth degree. A presentence investigation was ordered and sentencing scheduled for 9:30 p.m. July 13.

Zachariah Germann, 30, of Van Wert, changed his plea to guilty to two counts of assault, each a misdemeanor of the first degree (reduced from felonious assault, a first-degree felony), and to one count of possession of LSD, a felony of the fifth degree. Judge Burchfield continued the matter for further hearing at 8 a.m. June 25.

D’Osha Berumen, 23, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, changed her plea to guilty to a charge of possession of marijuana, a felony of the fifth degree (downgraded from a third-degree felony). A second drug charge was dismissed in exchange for her guilty plea. She then requested, and was granted, treatment in lieu of conviction and her case was stayed until she completes a substance abuse treatment program.

Serena White, 26, of Van Wert, changed her plea to guilty to a fifth-degree felony charge of theft. A presentence investigation was ordered and sentencing set for 9 a.m. Wednesday, July 25.

Jessica Jones, 51, of Van Wert, changed her plea to guilty to a charge of possession of cocaine, a felony of the fifth degree. She then requested, and was granted, treatment in lieu of conviction and her case stayed pending completion of a treatment program.
