Crestview 2 Spencerville 1

Hannah Binnion’s two-RBI single in the top of the sixth inning was enough for visiting Crestview to defeat Spencerville 2–1 on Thursday.

Binnion’s hit scored Codi Miller and Lexi Gregory, and improved Crestview’s record to 12-7 (5-2 NWC).

Victoria Lichtensteiger scattered five hits over seven innings and struck out 10 Spencerville batters.

The Lady Knights are scheduled to at Van Wert today.

Defiance 14 Van Wert 0

The visiting Lady Bulldogs held Van Wert to just one hit, a single by Grace Kline in a six inning 14-0 victory on Thursday.

Defiance led 1-0 entering the fifth inning, before plating four runs in the frame then nine more in the sixth and final inning.

The loss dropped Van Wert’s record to 9-5 (6-3 WBL), while Defiance (14-2, 8-0 WBL) clinched an outright league championship.

The Lady Cougars are slated to host Crestview today.

Paulding 10 Lincolnview 3

The Lady Panthers were too much for the Lady Lancers, posting a 10-3 Northwest Conference win Thursday at Lincolnview.

The Lady Lancers trailed 5-0 before putting up three runs in the bottom of the fourth, one on an error that plated Marissa Miller and a two-RBI single by Morgan Miller.

Paulding secured the win with two runs in the sixth and three more in the seventh inning.

Lincolnview (7-11, 1-7 NWC) is slated to play at Wayne Trace today.
