Clever Clovers fifth and sixth meetings

The Clever Clover 4-H Club had its fifth meeting on April 28, 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Grace Bible Church in Van Wert.  Kayla Krites led the 4-H Pledge.  Alaina Arney took attendance by roll call and members answered with their favorite animal.   Sixteen members were present.   Jamie Burenga gave a Service Project Update.  Health and Safety Officer Kayla Krites reported on “What To Do with an Ankle Injury”.

Members added events to their calendars. Chicken Barbecue posters and ticket sales were discussed. After the business meeting was adjourned, the Clover Buds joined the rest of the club.   Grace Dowler led recreation with the ice-breaker game, “Shay-mac-a-ro”.

The Clever Clover 4H Club had its sixth meeting on May 12, 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Children’s Garden in Van Wert.  Chicken BBQ posters were shown and approved by the club.  The club was reminded to sell BBQ Dinner Tickets.  Nineteen members and seven guests were present.  Ruth Ann Covey led the club in planting the vegetable gardens with potatoes, onion, carrots, radishes, and flowers.  She explained amending, fertilizing and planting gardens.  The club also weeded.  Snacks and drinks were provided by Jamie and Mandy Burenga.
