Knights outscore Commodores

Crestview’s Brant Richardson saved the day for the Knights in their Division IV sectional semifinal game against Perry on Tuesday. Richardson had three hits and three RBIs and scored the go-ahead run in a wild 10-8 victory over the Commodores. He also pitched the final 1.1 innings of the game and struck out two to preserve the victory. Korbin Hartman, Griffin Painter and Brody Brecht each scored a pair of runs for Crestview. The Knights (8-11) will play at Minster at 5 p.m. Thursday, with the winner claiming a sectional championship. Wyatt Richardson/Van Wert independent
