Girls hoops: C’view wins, L’view loses

Crestview 51 Allen East 40

The Lady Knights pulled away from Allen East in the second half and posted a 51-40 win on Thursday.

Crestview led 26-24 at halftime, then outscored the Lady Mustangs 15-7 in the third quarter and 10-9 in the final period.

Olivia Cunningham led all scorers with 21 points, including five triples. Lexi Gregory scored 13, including 11 in the second half and Hayley Speith finished with 10, with seven of those points coming in the first quarter. As a team, the Lady Knights hit nine treys.

Crestview (3-4, 1-2 NWC) will host Kalida on Saturday.

Columbus Grove 42 Lincolnview 20

Lincolnview trailed 9-8 after one quarter but was held to 12 points combined in the remaining three quarters in a 42-20 loss at Columbus Grove on Thursday.

The Lady Bulldogs enjoyed a 17-9 halftime advantage, then outscored the visitors 25-11 in the second half. The Lady Lancers out rebounded the hosts 24-17, but were plagued by 20 turnovers.

Jordan Decker was Lincolnview’s leading scorer with 11 points.

The Lady Lancers (2-6, 0-2 NWC) will play at Ridgemont on January 3.
