Ruth Irene (Cross) Cooper

Ruth Irene (Cross) Cooper passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2018, in Delphos.

She was born in the Marble Town area of Delphos on March 15, 1926, the daughter of William Jasper Cross and Nell Virginia (Fair) Cross, who both preceded her in death. Ruth was married to George Franklin Cooper on February 2, 1945, at Cocoa-Rockledge, Florida, and died in February 1993.

Survivors include a daughter, Cheryl Puzon of Crawfordville, Florida; one son, Stephen Cooper of Delphos; nine grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

a brother, Richard Alvin Cross of Atascadero, California; and Marcille Rucker of Delphos.

A daughter, Sandra Sue Johnson; three brothers, William Thomas Cross, Fred Harrison Cross, and Danny Paul Cross; and a sister, Gladys Louise Sanders, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 22, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Delphos.

Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Friday, December 21, and an hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.
