LIMA – Holden Willingham held Lima Central Catholic to five hits, and Van Wert picked up an 8-2 non-conference road win on Thursday.

Willingham struck out five and walked two, and TJ Reynolds led the Cougars at the plate with three hits, two RBI and three runs scored. Hayden Maples had two hits and two RBI, and Jake Lautzenheiser and Lawson Blackmore each knocked in a run.

Van Wert improved to 9-2.
