Ottoville, 2 MAC teams to play for titles

COLUMBUS — Two area girls’ basketball teams will square off for the second time this season, with a state championship in the balance.
Ottoville (27-2, No. 2 Associated Press poll) and Minster (25-3, No. 4 A.P. poll) will play for the Division IV state championship at 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the Jerome Schottenstein Center in Columbus.
Ottoville advanced to the title game with a 44-25 state semifinal win over Buckeye Central, while Minster defeated A.P. poll champion Waterford 46-31.
The Big Green and Minster played January 20, with the Lady Wildcats winning 55-54.
MAC champion Versailles (28-1, No. 1 A.P. poll) will play for the Division III state championship, after defeating Elyria Catholic 63-47 on Thursday. The Lady Tigers will face Columbus Africentric (26-3, No. 6 A.P. poll) at 2 p.m. Saturday.
Africentric captured a spot in the title game by beating Ottawa-Glandorf 50-37.
