VW independent/submitted information

WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Representative Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green) has announced submissions for the 2018 Congressional Art Competition are being accepted until March 1. All artwork will be displayed at Owens Community College in Perrysburg Township. High school age students that live or attend school in Ohio’s Fifth Congressional District are encouraged to submit their best effort.

“The students of Ohio’s Fifth District always impress me with their creativity and talent in the Congressional Art Competition,” said Latta. “We always have a significant number of submissions — more than 60 last year — and the quality is so high that the judges always have a tough time making a decision on the winning piece. I look forward to seeing what the students come up with this year.”

The winning artwork will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol Building in Washington, D.C., for one year, and three honorable mention pieces will be displayed in the Ohio district offices. Submissions can be dropped off at any three of Congressman Latta’s district offices:

  • Defiance – 101 Clinton St., Suite 1200 in Defiance
