Korte is the Student Athlete of the Week

Lincolnview High School sophomore bowler Brad Korte has been chosen as this week’s Van Wert independent/Northwest Ohio Welch Trophy Student Athlete of the Week. Korte is averaging a 228.1 in regular matches and a 210.6 with matches and tournaments combined. Earlier this season he rolled a perfect 300 game followed with a 235 against Van Wert at Olympic Lanes, then bowled a 279 and 266 against Celina a few weeks later. Coaches and athletic directors may nominate student athletes for the weekly award by e-mailing sports@thevwindependent.com.
