Van Wert Rib Fest awards announced

Who had the best ribs and sauce at the 10th annual Van Wert Rib Fest? Van Wert Area Convention & Visitors Bureau Executive Director Larry Lee has just released the results.

Rib vendors always look forward to the awarding of trophies for best ribs and sauce, as determined both by a panel of judges and those who voted for “People’s Choice”. This year’s winners of the Judge’s Choice for best sauce were After Hours BBQ, Timmy’s BBQ, and B & G’s BBQ. The judges awarded best overall ribs to After Hours BBQ, B & G’s BBQ and Gibson’s Barnyard BBQ. The People’s Choice Awards went to Timmy’s BBQ, B & G BBBQ and After Hours BBQ.

“The Rib Fest Committee would like to thank everyone who attended and are looking forward to providing the area with another great event August 4-5, 2017,” said Lee.

The event was a success, thanks to sponsors and the Van Wert area community at large who turned out to enjoy great food, outstanding entertainment, and good fun. Plans are already being discussed for 2017.
