Marvin L. Mihm

Marvin L. Mihm, 78, of Van Wert, passed away at 12:15 a.m. Tuesday, August 2, 2016, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

He was born February 10, 1938, in Van Wert, the son of Carl William Mihm and Eileen Agnes (Jackson) Pendergrass, who both preceded him in death. On November 7, 1970, he married Nancy (Donnel) Mihm, who survives in Van Wert.

Other survivors include four children, Kim (Tom) Cadwallader of Van Wert, Dave Herport of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Vicky (Gerald) Perry of Magnolia, Texas, and Jim Mihm of Van Wert; a brother, Bruce (Carol) Mihm of Van Wert; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and six nieces.

A brother, Duane Mihm; and one nephew, Rob Mihm, also preceded him in death.

Marvin was retired from B.F. Goodrich in Woodburn, Indiana. He was a veteran of the Ohio National Guard and enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing pinochle, and watching football.

A celebration of Marvin’s life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 13, at his residence.
