Donald F. Dobner

Donald F. Dobner, 89, of Delphos, passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

He was born August 7, 1926, in Lima, the son of Frank and Flora (Keller) Dobner, who both preceded him in death. He married Elizabeth “Betty Ann” German, who died January 17, 2009.

Survivors include a son, Bruce Dobner of Delphos; one daughter, Lynn Dobner Boes of Delphos; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A son, Neal Dobner; three brothers, Paul, Walter, and Ralph Dobner; and two sisters, Margie Chapman and Mary Catherine Dobner, also preceded him in death.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, July 11, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos, with Father Dennis Walsh officiating. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery in Delphos, with graveside military honors rendered by the Delphos Veterans Council.

Visitation is from 2-8 p.m. Sunday, July 10, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, where a parish wake will be held at 7:30 that evening.
