Linda Kay Summersett

Linda Kay Stemen Summersett, 76, died at 10:15 a.m. Friday, May 13, 2016, at her residence in Van Wert.

She was born February 26, 1940, the daughter of James Gardner and Esther Lorene (Wyandt) Stemen, who both preceded her in death. On June 22, 1959, she married Larry Dean Summersett, who also preceded her in death.

Survivors include two daughters, Laurie Lynn Thompson and Lisa Gaye McGuire; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marjorie (James) Wollet and Doretha Minor; a brother, John Stemen; and one sister-in-law, Marjorie Stemen.

A brother, Michael “Jimmy” Stemen, also preceded her in death.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Van Wert, with the Rev. William C. Haggis II officiating.
