Lucille K. Carder

Lucille K. Carder of Delphos, died Monday, April 18, 2016, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

She was born November 8, 1926, in Fort Jennings, the daughter of George and Margaret (Dickman) Hofstetter, who both preceded her in death. On November 9, 1946, she married Donald Carder, who died April 23, 2003.

Survivors include three daughters, Diane Carder and Sue (Dave) McNeal, both of Delphos, and Mary (Robert) Jackson of Oak Creek, Wisconsin; four sons, Robert (Toni) Carder of Boca Raton, Florida, Paul Carder, Dale “Bunny” (Denice) Carder, and Larry (Mary) Carder, all of Delphos; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Two sisters, Rita Hofstetter and Alberta Pack; and a brother, Norbert Hofstetter, also preceded her in death.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, April 25, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery in Delphos.

Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, April 23, and from 2-8 p.m. Sunday, April 24, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, where a parish wake will be held at 7:30 Sunday evening.
