Gilda F. Trobridge

Gilda F. Trobridge, 67, of Van Wert, and formerly of Fort Recovery and Celina, died at 1:55 p.m. Monday, April 18, 2016, at her residence.

She was born November 3, 1948, in Floyd County, Kentucky, the daughter of Gillis and Edna (Bailey) Dennis, who both preceded her in death. On October 11, 1996, she married Ted Trobridge, who died January 31, 2011.

Survivors include a son, Vincent (Lee) Brummette of Van Wert; three stepchildren, Jeff Trobridge of Union City, Kimberly Sheppard of Greenville, and Connie (Kris) Steinbrecher of Cincinnati; two brothers, Kenny (Tammy) Dennis and Gary Howard, both of Celina; two sisters, Carol (Gail) Zizelman and Mona (Larry) Shinberry, both of Celina; a brother-in-law, Rex (Rona) Trobridge of Costa Mesa, California; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A son, Darrell Brummette; and one brother, Kernal Howard, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, April 22, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with Pastor Ron Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Mercer Memory Gardens in Celina.

Calling hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 21, at the funeral home.
