Gene Allen Wisener

Gene Allen Wisener, 58, of Ohio City, died at 2:26 p.m. Friday, April 22, 2016, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

He was born June 18, 1957, in Van Wert, the son of Lester J. Wisener, who preceded him in death, and Patricia Ann (Bayles) Wisener, who survives in Van Wert.

Other survivors include two sons, Shawn (Jade) Wisener of Wapakoneta and Joshua (Jennifer Fourman) Wisener of Celina; a sister, Kimberly K. (Mike) Lare of Convoy; three grandchildren; and a special friend, Sharon Kay Stone of Berne, Indiana.

A brother, Lester L. Wisener; and one sister, Terri Cummins, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 26, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with Pastor Jim Burns officiating. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

Visitation is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 25, at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials: Liberty Baptist Church in Van Wert or First United Methodist Church in Rockford.
