YWCA annual Geranium Sale underway

The YWCA of Van Wert County’s annual Geranium Sale is going on now until Monday, April 25. Geraniums are hardy root plants sold in 4½-inch pots. Colors available are: red, white, lavender, fuchsia, pink, and light salmon. Pots are $3.50 each.

Don’t miss this opportunity to beautify one’s yard and support the YWCA this Mother’s Day. Geraniums will be available for pick-up Wednesday, May 4, from 1-6 p.m., and Thursday, May 5, from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Cash and carry sales begin Wednesday, May 4, at 1 p.m., while hanging baskets will also be available for purchase for $20 that day while supplies last. New this year is a multi-vendor event on Wednesday, May 4, from 1-6 p.m., and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday, May 5, where area residents can shop for other gifts, in addition to geraniums. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the YWCA programming.

The annual Geranium Sale supports the work of the YWCA throughout the year, including the Transitional Living and Youth Enrichment programs, and its domestic violence services.

General operating hours are Monday through Thursday, 6:30 a.m.-7 p.m.; and Friday, 6:30 a.m.-1 p.m. (closed Saturday and Sunday).
