ANTWERP — A Fort Wayne, Indiana, woman reported missing since March 9 is the person whose body was found at a deserted residence on the Ohio-Indiana State Line on Monday morning.

Authorities confirmed that 44-year-old Wilma A. Schwartz is the woman whose body was found at 10488 Paulding County Road 1.

Schwartz was listed as missing nearly a week ago by the Fort Wayne Police Department, according to Paulding County Sheriff Jason K. Landers.

“We do not believe this is the original crime scene,” said Sheriff Landers. “There is no evidence where the body was discovered that shows us she died where she was found. It appears her body was placed on this abandoned property.”

The sheriff added that an autopsy will be ordered by Paulding County Coroner Dr. Joseph Kuhn to assist investigators in determining the cause of death.
