PAULDING — A man being sought as a suspect in the murder of a woman whose body was found in a Paulding apartment building month ago is now believed to have been murdered as well.

With the identification of a man’s body found in Rochester Cemetery near Cecil as that of Frank H. Tracy Jr., Paulding County Sheriff Jason K. Landers is looking at the possibility of a double murder.

Tracy, 47, had been sought in the death of Hannah Fischer, whose body was found in a Paulding apartment on February 9. The Lucas County Coroner’s Office, which conducted an autopsy of Tracy’s body, apparently made the identification, as well as determining the cause of death.

Tracy was killed with a single gunshot in the head, while Fischer was killed the same way, according to information just released by Paulding County Coroner Dr. Joseph Kuhn.

“My office will continue to press forward investigating this crime in conjunction with the Paulding Police Department,” said Sheriff Landers. “We believe these two cases are related, and we will now focus our investigation as such.”

While another woman whose body was found at a vacant property on the Ohio-Indiana State Line was also killed with a single gunshot to the head, Sheriff Landers said he doesn’t feel that case is linked to Fischer and Tracy’s deaths.

“There is no evidence that links the death investigation of Wilma Schwartz … to the investigation involving Fischer and Tracy,” he said.

The sheriff is asking that anyone with information on this case contact the sheriff’s office at 419.399.3791, leave information via Facebook by searching “Paulding County Sheriff’s Office”, view the sheriff’s website at www.pauldingohsheriff.com, or leave an anonymous tip by scrolling to the bottom of any page on the website and click on “send us an anonymous tip.”
