Roger W. Davis

Roger W. Davis of Delphos died Tuesday, February 23, 2016, at Sarah Jane Living Center in Delphos.

He was born December 5, 1941, in Middle Point, the son of Charles E. Davis and Ruth (Woods) Davis Edwards, who both preceded him in death. On March 28, 1964, he married Francis “Lynn” Davis, who died October 31, 2010.

Survivors include three sons, Tony (Shirley) Davis of Ottoville, Steve “Beaver” Davis of Toledo, and Jeff (Dawn) Davis of Fort Wayne, Indiana; four sisters, Evelyn Swartz of Jonestown, Donna Wermer of Van Wert, Mary (Tom) Odenweller of Delphos, and Doreen (Rick) Odaffer of Columbus; a sister-in-law, Mike Davis of Kentucky; and five grandchildren.

A brother, Bob Davis, also preceded him in death.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, February 26, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos, with Father Daniel Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery in Delphos, with graveside military honors rendered by the Delphos Veterans Council.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Thursday, February 25, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, with a parish wake held at 7:30 that evening.
