Van Wert High School juniors in Natoshia Wilhelm’s English class recently finished a Disney project called Once Upon a Time, which focused on the elements of fiction and plot. They learned literary terms, and read and analyzed numerous stories before creating their own unique twist or original narrative in the form of a children’s story. These stories were then read and presented to the 2nd grade classes at Van Wert Elementary. Juniors included an idea for future merchandise that was clearly related to the story. All second graders enjoyed a tasty sample of some merchandise. Everyone involved, teachers, juniors and 2nd graders, enjoyed the experience. (Photo submitted.)
