Rivalry week for the Knights

By Haley Helm

Both the boys and girls basketball seasons are well underway, and both have been successful so far. This weekend, the boys travel to Lincolnview for a key NWC  matchup on Friday night. Not only are the Lancers the Knights’ biggest rival in sports, they have yet to pick up a loss this season. Then, on Saturday night, the boys travel to Mercer County to take on the Celina Bulldogs. Although there hasn’t been a lot of time to prepare for the big weekend due to a game on Tuesday night against Shawnee, Coach Best and the Knights are ready for possibly their biggest game of the year.

Coach Rickard and the girls have also had a tough week competing against our county and conference rivals. After losing to Delphos St. John’s last Saturday in double overtime with a score of 54-48, the Lady Knights had to bounce back quickly for a game against Van Wert on Monday night. In the non-league matchup, Crestview had no trouble with the Cougars resulting in a 54-26 victory. They continue their rivalry week with a conference game against Lincolnview tonight at home. JV tipoff will begin at 6pm.

In the Music Department, Crestview’s show choir group Knight Vision, will be taking their talents over to Fort Wayne and competing at Carroll High School at 1:30 p.m. Last competition, Knight Vision received second place in the small school division, so the Knights have high expectations for their results on Saturday.
