Mini ‘March for Life’ scheduled in VW

A mini “March for Life” will take place in Van Wert at 11 a.m. Friday, January 22. The event will begin in Fountain Park and proceed to the Knights of Columbus Hall on Woodland Avenue, where a short prayer service will follow a light lunch.

This march coincides with the national “March for Life” in Washington, D.C., commemorating the 47th anniversary of U.S. Supreme Court’s “Roe vs. Wade” decision legalizing abortion. The intent of this event is not to condemn any who have chosen to have an abortion or those involved in abortions but to call awareness to the value of all human life from conception to natural death.

The activities will conclude by 12:30 p.m. Those unable to walk may go directly to the K of C Hall. There is no charge for the lunch, but donations will be accepted for the local Pregnancy Life Center.
