Florence E. Miller

Florence E. Miller, 86, of Rockford, died suddenly on Thursday night, January 14, 2016, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

She was born September 20, 1929, in Willshire Township, Van Wert County, the daughter of Cornelius L. and Hilda (Scaer) Schumm, who both preceded her in death. On December 3, 1950, she married Herbert M. Miller, who died April 21, 2012.

Survivors include a daughter, Karen (Joe) Bennett of Celina; one grandson; a great-granddaughter; and two sisters, Amy Boenker of Willshire and Esther (Alvin) Krueckeberg of Decatur, Indiana.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, January 18, at Zion Lutheran Church in Chattanooga, with Pastor Karen Tamorria officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Calling hours are from 2-5:30 p.m. Sunday, January 17, at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford and an hour prior to services Monday at the church.
