Cougar wrestlers split with Kenton, O-G

KENTON — Van Wert High School varsity wrestlers traveled to Kenton and won their Western Buckeye League match against the Wildcats 36-23.

Winning their weight classes were Isaiah Bretz (126 pounds), Andy Hammond (132 pounds), Josh Dorsch (138 pounds), Eric Workman (182 pounds), Brody Couts (220 pounds), and Kaleb Cantrell (285 pounds).

The Cougars lost to Ottawa-Glandorf 44-23, but those winning their matches were Bretz, Hammond, Couts, and Cantrell.
