4 more arraigned on drug-related charges

Four more people were arraigned on Van Wert County Grand Jury indictments on Friday in Common Pleas Court. All four cases involve drug-related charges.

Court artwork 12-2013 copyDrew Kenny, 22, of Van Wert, entered not guilty pleas to one count each of aggravated trafficking in drugs, a felony of the third degree, and trafficking in heroin, a fourth-degree felony. He was released on a personal surety bond, with a pretrial conference scheduled for 8 a.m. Wednesday, January 27.

Melissa Nihiser, 19, of Van Wert, pleaded not guilty to a charge of complicity in trafficking in heroin, a felony of the fifth degree. She was released on a surety bond and will appear for a pretrial conference at 8 a.m. January 27.

Zachariah Germann, 28, of Van Wert, entered a not guilty plea to a charge of trafficking in heroin, a felony of the fifth degree, with the added specification that he used $68 in cash in the commission of the crime. He was released on a surety bond and will appear for a pretrial conference at 8 a.m. January 27.

Jerad Caldwell, 29, of Van Wert, pleaded not guilty to two counts of trafficking in heroin, each a felony of the fifth degree. He was released on a surety bond and will appear for a pretrial conference at 8 a.m. January 27.
