Mazur takes oath

Van Wert mayor-elect Jerry Mazur (center) is sworn in by Van Wert County Common Pleas Judge Martin Burchfield on Tuesday evening during a gala celebration held at Willow Bend Country Club. Van Wert Municipal Court Judge Jill Leatherman administered the oath of office to incoming City Council president Pete Weir and City Law Director John Hatcher, while County Probate-Juvenile Court Judge Kevin Taylor swore in new at-large City Council members Jon Tomlinson, Fred Fisher, and Warren Straley, as well as ward council members John Marshall, Joi Mergy, Ken Markward, and Steve Trittschuh.
