Margery J. Smalley

Margery J. Smalley, 91, of Rockford, died at 10:35 a.m. Sunday, December 6, 2015, at the Laurels of Shane Hill in Rockford.

She was born August 22, 1924, in Wabash, the daughter of Rudolph H. and Edith C. (Bollenbacher) Smith, who both preceded her in death. On June 21, 1951, she married David C. Smalley, who died June 6, 2013.

Survivors include two children, Robert (Susan) Smalley of Rockford and Kathy (Tom) Custer of Marysville; three grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Tom Smalley of Celina.

Funeral services will be conducted at noon Wednesday, December 9, at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, with Pastor Chip Steffy officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Rockford.

Calling hours are from 10 a.m. until the time of services Wednesday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials: State of the Heart Hospice or Rockford United Methodist Church.
