Paul Jackson

Paul Jackson, 88, of Van Wert, died at 10:25 a.m. Friday, November 6, 2015, at Van Wert Manor.

He was born January 24, 1927, in Flat Lick, Kentucky, the son of Latimore and Bessie (Graham) Jackson, who both preceded him in death. He married Patricia L. (Martz) Jackson, who survives in Van Wert.

Other survivors include two sons, Carl American Flag for obituaries 6-2011(Andrea) Jackson of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Douglas (Cheryl) Jackson of Waynedale, Indiana; and two stepdaughters, Cheryl (Dave) Prior of Van Wert and Beth (Paul) Hitchcock of Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

A son, Michael Jackson, and one stepdaughter, Sandra Burnett, also preceded him in death.

Paul had spent many years employed by Sears, Roebuck & Company as a retail sales representative. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Van Wert, and had proudly served his country during World War II as a member of the United States Navy.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 10, at Liberty Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jim Burns officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert, where graveside military honors will be rendered by combined units of American Legion Post 178 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803, both of Van Wert.

Calling hours are from 2-6 p.m. Monday, November 9, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert and an hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.

Preferred memorials: Liberty Baptist Church.
