Using Technology to Do a Formative Assessment

Have you ever taken a test and worried what your grade would be because you didn’t know all of the answers? The process of formative assessment eliminates the worry of not knowing all the answers for a test and replaces it with confidence in knowing exactly what one knows and what one does not know. Students are assessed frequently during lessons, and this process helps the teacher zone in on who needs help with what and who is ready to move on to the next topic, so by the time of testing the students already know what they need to study and can be prepared.
