Marian F. Schaffner

Marian F. Schaffner, 88, of New Haven, Indiana, died at 2:08 p.m. Friday, November 6, 2015, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

She was born July 19, 1927, in Convoy, the daughter of Walter and Helen (Riley) Gorrell, who both preceded her in death. She married Doyt Schaffner, who also preceded her in death.

Survivors include two children, Michael D. (Helga) Schaffner of Janesville, Wisconsin, and Daniel K Schaffner of Clearwater, Florida; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A brother, Paul Gorrell, also preceded her in death.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at approximately noon Saturday, November 14, at Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

Calling hours are from 10 a.m.-noon Saturday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert.
