Della Rae Ringwald

Della Rae Ringwald, 96, of Van Wert, died at 9:55 a.m. Sunday, November 1, 2015, at Roselawn Manor in Spencerville.

She was born May 17, 1919, in Middle Point, the daughter of Thomas and Maude (Neer) Armstrong, who both preceded her in death. She married William H. Ringwald, who died in 2011.

Survivors include three children, William (Marilyn) Ringwald III of Spencerville, Edward Ringwald of Van Wert and Michael (Dottie) Ringwald of Spencerville; six grandchildren, Dr. Ronald (Lori) Ringwald, Lisa Ringwald, Lance (Judy) Ringwald, Brian (Tammi) Ringwald, Holly Ringwald, and Michael Ringwald; and 10 great-grandchildren, Bryce, Mackenzie, Carter, Thad, Zach, Cora, Rachel, Andy, Mariah and Jaiden Ringwald.

A daughter, Lois Ann Ringwald; two brothers, Claude and Maurice Armstrong; and three sisters, Christine Strawser, Wilma Townsend, and Nellie Fae Bowden, also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Ringwald was a homemaker and retired in 1982 from Federal-Mogul Corporation in Van Wert. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Middle Point, and spent 22 years in Fort Meade, Florida, wit her husband after retirement.

Private graveside family services will be conducted at a later date in King Cemetery in rural Van Wert County.

There will be no calling hours.

Preferred memorials: Trinity Lutheran Church or a charity of donor’s choice.
