Timothy B. Edwards, 56, was charged with knowingly cultivating marijuana, a felony of the third degree. In addition to the marijuana plants, other suspected narcotics were found at the residence, with charges pending results from analysis of those substances by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation laboratory in Bowling Green.

Edwards and four other people were in Edwards’ rented house when officers from the Antwerp Police Department, Paulding County Sheriff’s Office and West Central Ohio Crime Task Force served a warrant at the residence.

A total of 198 marijuana plants were seized at the residence, along with nutritional chemicals, lights, soil, fans, firearms and cash.

“Kudos to the Antwerp Police Department for being proactive in this investigation,” said Paulding County Sheriff Jason K. Landers. “I am proud my staff was able to work alongside these other agencies to help make Antwerp a safer community. Taking guns and drugs off the streets of Paulding County is a primary focus of the law enforcement serving here.”
