State park photo shoot opportunity

By Rex Dolby

Randy Shellenbarger, president of the Grand Lake Photo Club, has set Saturday, Oct. 31, for an early morning shoot at one of the most scenic fall spots in Ohio, John Bryan State Park just outside Yellow Springs. He would like participants to assemble at the Neil Armstrong museum (Wapakoneta) parking lot at 6:15 a.m. so transportation can be decided and to assure arrival time at the park by sunrise for the best two hours of morning daylight.

Randy has invited members of the Van Wert Area Photography Club to join his group, which would mean Van Werters would need to meet at the Salvation Army parking lot on South Washington Street no later than 5:15 a.m. to determine transportation and make it to the Space Museum by 6:15 a.m.

If others would like to carpool later, they could do a search for “Meetup”.   Scroll down and click on “Meetup: Find your people”.  In the “All Meetups” space, type Grand Lake Photo Club.  After “within”, type 50 miles and after “of”, type Van Wert. On their site, you could set up a later departure time with others also wanting to leave later, or check on the VWAPC’s Facebook page for others who may be going and/or the time they plan to leave.
