L’view planning Veterans Day celebration

Lincolnview Local Schools information

Lincolnview Local Schools will be presenting a special Veterans Day celebration on Friday, November 13, starting at 1:30 p.m. in the high school gymnasium.

Lincolnview has created a tradition of honoring veterans, including those who are relatives of the Lincolnview student body and staff.

“We are very proud of the men and women who are bravely serving, or have served, our country,” said Stephanie Renner, the Lincolnview teacher who helped develop the program.

The Veterans Day service includes announcing each veteran’s name, service branch, and family member or members with whom they are attending the celebration. Lincolnview’s service also pays tribute to military veterans who are no longer living by reading their names in a special memorial portion of the program.

Lincolnview district residents who have a veteran who will be participating with a student or students should fill out the top portion of the registration form (click here) and return it to a student’s teacher no later than Monday, November 2 (necessary for a final count of who is attending).

A small reception will be held for veterans and their Lancer family members following the program.

Family members with a veteran who cannot attend the celebration should fill out the middle portion of the registration form and email a photo of a veteran who is currently serving and cannot attend and those will be used in a video presentation. Those photos should be sent no later than November 2, along with the form to a student’s teacher.

Forms and photos can be emailed to srenner@lincolnview.k12.oh.us.

Those with veterans whose names are to be included in the memorial portion of the program should fill out the bottom portion of the registration form and return to a teacher no later than November 2.
