Joseph Robert Hines

Joseph Robert Hines, 43, of Van Wert, died at 10:48 a.m. Sunday, October 25, 2015, in Van Wert County.

He was born April 18, 1972, in Celina, the son of Candice (Hines) Hire, who survives in Van Wert, and Mike Green, who preceded him in death. He married Sheri (McMinn) Hines, who survives in Van Wert.

Other survivors include his stepfather, Joe Hire of Van Wert; three children, Joseph Hines Jr. and Mikala Hines, both of North Carolina, and David Hines of California; two stepchildren, Timothy Sterling and Andrew Sterling, both of Van Wert; a stepbrother, Shawn Hire of Van Wert; two stepsisters, BobiJo Howard of Van Wert and Jessica Hire of Van Wert; several half-brothers and half-sisters; and 13 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday, November 8, at Hire’s Old South in Van Wert.

There will be no calling hours.
