Emma Charlotte Young, 23 months, died Saturday afternoon, October 17, 2015, at her home in Harrison Township.

She was born November 7, 2013, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the daughter of Kristopher C. and Michele M. (Yingst) Young, who both survive.

Other surviving family members include two brothers, Derek and Dylan Young; grandparents Ronald C. and Carla Young of Van Wert, Pam Yingst of Covington, and Mary and David Ditmer of Covington; two great-grandmothers, Helen Yingst of Covington and Wanda Favorite of Troy; her great-great-grandmother, Louise Cromes of Troy; aunts and uncles and cousins, Philip (Katlin) Young and their daughter, Linley, of Markle, Indiana, William Young of Washington, D.C., Jennifer Young of Charlotte, North Carolina, Amy Escue of San Antonio, Texas, and Casey Yingst of Covington.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 24, at Praise Point Church in Willshire, with Pastor Brad Kittle officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Friday, October 23, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, and an hour prior to services Saturday at the church.

Preferred memorials: Youth Program at Praise Point Church, Gideons International or Brumback Library in Van Wert.
