YWCA plans Health Center open house

The YWCA of Van Wert is hosting an open house from 6:30 a.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday, September 10, in the YW’s new Health Center.

This is a perfect time for the community to stop in and take a look at the equipment, facility and accessibility of the center. The goal of the YWCA Health Center is to give community members an affordable, accessible option to pursue a healthier lifestyle in a comfortable, encouraging, and low-pressure environment. The YWCA’s belief is: Strive for progress, not perfection.

The health center includes: cardio equipment, strength machines and free weights as well as access to locker rooms, sauna and steam room during YWCA business hours. The health center will be secured and monitored for access 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Unlimited use is available for a monthly rate of $30 with no joining fee, membership or contract to sign. During the open house, there will be a special offer of $5 off the first month purchased.

The opening of the YWCA Health Center with unlimited access is perfect timing for helping community members make lifestyle changes during the Live Healthy Van Wert! challenge. The YWCA is proud to be a sponsor and partner location for this communitywide health and fitness challenge.
