Knight girls earn v-ball victory over Grove

CONVOY — It was definitely a Northwest Conference showdown as Crestview’s volleyball team defeated Columbus Grove on the Knights’ home court in some very intense games. Scores were 26-24, 22-25, 25-23 and 25-22. With the win, Crestview improves to 5-1 overall and 1-0 in conference play.

Serving – Haley Helm, 18/18; Tianna Rager, 15/16; Brady Guest, 11/11 with two aces; Claire Zaleski, three aces.

Hitting – Guest, 13 kills; Helm, 12 kills; Zaleski, eight kills; Maci Baker and Ally McCoy, six kills each; Abigail Bagley, two kills.

Setting – Guest, 18 assists; Bagley, 26 assists.

Digs – Rager, 16 digs; Helm, eight digs; Zaleski, seven digs.

Blocking – Baker and McCoy led in blocks.

The Crestview junior varsity volleyball team lost to ‘Grove 21-25 and 21-25. The JVs are now 3-3 overall and 0-1 in the NWC.

The Lady Knights will be back in action on Thursday as they travel to Ada for another NWC match-up.
