Cougar v-ball team loses to St. John’s

The Van Wert varsity volleyball team lost to Delphos St. John’s 21-25, 25-23, 7-25, 16-25 Monday evening.

For Van Wert, Cassidy Sinning was 13-of-14 serving and Emma Kohn had two aces. Megan Spray was 48-of-49 setting with seven assists.

Ella Butler, Landrie Koontz and Kohn each had six kills to lead the Cougars. Peyton Fleming had four solo blocks.

The Cougar varsity volleyball team is now 1-2 on the season.

The Van Wert junior varsity team defeated St. John’s in two sets. Van Wert JVs are now 3-0 on the season.

The Van Wert varsity and JV volleyball teams will travel to Kalida to face the Wildcats today, starting at 6 p.m.
