Ohio Sales Tax Holiday this weekend

Area residents are reminded of the Ohio Sales Tax Holiday this weekend. The holiday, which started at 12:01 a.m. today and runs through 11:59 p.m. Sunday, August 9, exempts shoppers from having to pay sales tax on a number of items, mostly related to back-to-school purchases.
Eligible items include the following:
- Items of clothing priced at $75 or less.
- School supply items priced at $20 or less.
- School instructional materials priced at $20 or less.
Items used in a trade or business are not exempt under the sales tax holiday.
