Michael Medford

Michael Medford, 60, of rural Van Wert, passed away Saturday morning at his home in Ridge Township.

He was born on May 13, 1954, in Van Wert, the son of the late James “Jimmy” and Eldiva Melvine (Griffis) Medford. On April 24, 1982, he married the former Julie Boyer who survives.

Other family members include his son, Andrew “Andy” Medford of Van Wert; a sister, Sharon Clouse of Van Wert; a nephew, Nathan (Katie) Clouse of Salem, Virginia; and a great niece, Cora Clouse.

Mike was a 1972 graduate of Lincolnview High School and received his associates degree in business administration form Ohio State University, Lima. He had worked for almost 39 years at Eaton (Aeroquip Corp.).

Services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, August 7, 2015, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Finkhousen officiating. Interment will follow at Hartford Cemetery near Spencerville. Calling hours are Friday 11 a.m., until time of service.

Preferred memorials are to the St. Rita’s Hospice or the donor’s choice.
