Dorothea June Tozzer Baker

Dorothea June Tozzer Baker, 81, of Van Wert, died at 12:03 p.m. Thursday, August 6, 2015, at Van Wert County Hospital in Van Wert.

She was born June 25, 1934, in Van Wert, the daughter of Wade W. and Mildred (Schlossberg) Tozzer, who both preceded her in death. On October 27, 1951, she married C. Robert Baker, who died August 16, 1995.

Survivors include four children, David W. Baker of Columbus, Daniel J. Baker of Greeley, Colorado, Barbara E. (Rex) Mihm of Decatur, Indiana, and Diane L. (Joe) Metzger of Fort Jennings; 14 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.

A son, Douglas A. Baker; and two sisters, Winifred Chomiak and Ailene Neiford, also preceded her in death.

She was a graduate of Van Wert High School and was employed as a supervisor by the former Van Wert Telephone Company. She knew the Lord as her Savior.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 12, at Brickner Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jeff Millay officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, August 11, and an hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home.
